How did the TV series "The Sopranos" end.?

Tony resolves his (current) problemwith New York when the go-ahead is given to whack Phil Leotardo. The final scene is an uneventful tribe meal. The tension connected with the scene is played up equally a puce herring. Basically, his life continues as normal, no growth, not at all come-uppance, just like customary veritable life there's not at all precise resolution. David Chase said "I didn't wanna say crime pays, also I didn't wanna say trespass doesn't pay."
